DOLLS' EYES
To Marisa Marchitelli's art
See how these dolls awaken
To the idea they've been forsaken;
Once they dreamed of a little girl's love
But now their eyes are tearless and vacant.

Never has anyone dedicated a poem to me or my work before. I suspect I wasn't the only one, but it's still an unusual gesture. She left her email address. Should I write to her?

Brash is a female poet who both displayed art and performed at Artomatic. She managed to write poems for each of the 740 artists that exhibited this year!! (that's a lot of poems!)
i say, yes, you should write.
It's too often that people don't get feedback on their work. Obviously, hers caught your attention. She should know. Tell her you were glad and intrigued by her note.
Worse case scenario.. you never hear back from her because she's too busy writing billions of other poems. hehe.
ps: it's just like writing a blog and discovering you have no comments on it... you know for sure X number of people read it but how come you only get a comment from yourself and another one from your mom? Did they all hate it or did they just not take the 2 minutes it takes to tell you they had a kick out of it?
